Big hearted pupils do their bit

BIG-hearted high school pupils at Warrington have been doing their bit to lend a caring hand in the community as winter cold begins to bite.
Youngsters from Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School have been raising funds at Priestley College’s Loushers Lane campus.
The pupils, who are all studying the new diploma course in Society, Health and Development attend lessons at Priestley twice a week.
They held a tombola and sold their own homemade cakes to staff and students at the college with the money raised destined to be used to fund a Christmas party, held at the high school for older members of the local community.
Priestley tutor Susan Walker said: “As part of the diploma course, the pupils are regularly involved within their local community and so it was really good of them to do something like this in an attempt to spread a little bit of festive cheer.”
