PHONE lines are now open to vote for a community charity linked to Warrington Wolves, which wants to provide free holiday activities for children in the town.
The Wolves Foundation will go head to head with another charity for £45,000 funding in the final of this year’s People’s Millions programme, to be screened on ITV tonigh.
The winning charity will be decided by a public telephone vote – lines opened at 9am today and the number is 0871 626 8836.
Natalie Hargreaves from the Wolves Foundation said: “Please please pick up the phone! Make sure you tune in to Granada TV tonight at 6pm and get behind your Club’s Community charity. Winning this money would set the way for the children of Warrington.
“If the Foundation is successful, its projects will give children access to free sports holiday activities throughout the year.
“It will give young people the opportunity to complete courses in Sports Leadership, which is nationally recognised and helps develop skills in planning, communication and delivery, setting them up for the future.
“The activities will be run in six locations in the town including a sports club for young people with disabilities.”

Calls cost 10p from a landline and people can vote up to 10 times from the same phone line.
