Lifestyle help from wellbeing mentor

PEOPLE in Warrington who want to change their lifestyle for the better can now talk to a new “Wellbeing Mentor”.
Sarah Watson is part of a new Community Engagement team and is available to answer questions about how to access services which can help people to improve their health and wellbeing.
She said: “Although I can’t give specialist medical advice, I can offer support and act as a signpost – showing people where they can get help if they want to make changes to their lifestyle, such as giving up smoking or doing more exercise.”
Residents over the age of 18 can call Sarah and arrange to meet in a cafe or local public hall, where she can let them know more about the services that are available, over six sessions if needed.
The Wellbeing Service is part of a national scheme known as the “Health Trainer Service” but Sarah will be referred to locally a “Wellbeing Mentor”.
The team will be putting up posters in public halls and areas over the next few weeks and Sarah can be contacted directly to make an appointment on 01925 843 717 or email [email protected].
