A NEW helpline which makes it easier for workers to get advice about their rights is good news, says a Warrington MP.
Helen Jones, MP for Warrington North believes the new “Pay and Work Rights Helpline” number, which replaces five separate helpline numbers will be easier for workers to get advice, for abuses to be reported and for rights to be enforced.
She said: “Independent research carried out by YouGov found that many people are not fully aware of their workplace rights. This new service will allow both workers and employers to call in confidence for information and advice on pay, hours and deductions.”
The Pay and Work Rights Helpline can be contacted on 0800 917 2368 (text phone 0800 121 4042 and will be open from 8 am to 8 pm Monday to Friday and from 9am to 1pm on Saturdays or visit www.direct.gov.uk/payandworkrights
