Arson attack on house

FIRE chiefs have expressed concern after an arsonist apparently tried to set fire to a house at Warrington – using a wheelie bin.
The bin was deliberately pushed against a house in Watkin Street and set alight, causing minor damage to the house.
But if fire crews had not reached the scene quickly the damage cou ld have been much more severe.
It was the second time the house had been targeted by arsonists in recent times.
A Fire Service spokesman said: “This appeared to be a deliberate and determined attempt to cause damage to this house, using the wheelie bin to start the fire. We always advise people to keep bins secure and well away from property.”
Police are investigating.
