THE annual Beer Festival organised by Warrington Rotary Club which has raised over £125,000 for local charities and good causes over the past 12 years, starts tonight at the Parr Hall.
Oktoberfest 13 aims to be bigger and better with over 70 new beers from around the country, over 40 bottled beers from all over the world, live bands, all sessions and a tasty new food menu. Just in case the weather turns really cold there is even a Yorkshire bitter called Brass Monkey!
There are festive ales for the spooky occasion, Broomstick Bitter and Pendle Witches and from the town’s very own Warrington Coachhouse Brewery, Wizards Wonder Halloween Ale.
Live music this year will be provided by the Bottletops tonight, The Bad Dog Blues Band on Friday with support from guitar vocalist Tim Critchley, The Lazy River Jazz Band Saturday afternoon and No Stamp Required Saturday Night.
Picture shows revellers at last year’s event.
