THE chance to sample activities such as rock climbing is offered at an open day in Warrington on Friday October 30.
Warrington’s integrated youth support service is holding a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award open day as part of its plan to offer opportunities for local young people.
The award, aimed at 14 to 25 year olds, offers the chance to meet new people, learn new skills and get involved in the local community.
The open day will be at the Orford Youth Base, Capesthorne Road between 10am and 4pm. Youngsters will have the chance to ask questions and sample activities such as rock climbing.
Local organisations who are currently working with young people in Warrington and are looking for ways of accrediting their work are also invited.
