He was previously President of Warrington Chamber of Commerce and chairman of North West Chamber of Commerce. He is Companion of the Institute of Management.
Commenting on his appointment Steven said: “It is a great honour to take up this role. I have been mentored for the past five years by Doug and I look forward to meeting and fulfilling the opportunities and challenges ahead for this great club which is now poised to go from strength to strength on and off the field.”
The club is also very pleased that Lord Doug Hoyle has accepted the role of honorary club president.
Doug said: “I am pleased to accept this important role so I am able to maintain my connection with the club and to be able to continue to use my influence to generate opportunities for the club’s continued success”
The appointment of Lord Daresbury as patron of the club ensures that the long history between the Greenall family and the club is maintained.
