PROSPECTIVE students are being invited to an Open Day at the Warrington campus of Chester University on Saturday, October 10.
The event, between 10am and 3pm, will provide would-be students with a chance to look around the campus, visiting both academic and accommodation facilities during student-led guided tours.
There will also be an opportunity to meet some of the tutors responsible for delivering the courses, while support staff will be on hand to answer any queries relating to matters such as finance or the application process.
Professor Peter Harrop, recently appointed Pro Vice-Chancellor and Provost for the campus, said: “The balance of university investment, academic achievement, employment related courses, and a small friendly campus is continuing to provide a successful formula”.
Around £12 million has been injected into the Warrington campus in recent years, with features including a business centre, the North West Media Centre with the latest music, TV and sound production equipment and a state-of-the-art Learning Resource Centre, which has revolutionised the way in which people use library facilities and information services.
Improvements to the Student Union bar and student accommodation have also been carried out.
The campus attracts British and international students and offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses for full-time and part-time study.
