Church concert
WARRINGTON Male Voice Choir is to give a concert at All Saints Church, Thelwall on October 9 at 7.30. Tickets are £5 and are available from Barley Road Post Office or by calling 01925 261763.
Hospital lottery
A £1,500 jackpot prize went begging when the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital was drawn. It will be “rolled over” to next week. The winning numbers were 2, 11, 12 and 16. A consolation prize of £25 was won by a member of the hospital staff.
Regimental Sunday
THE annual Regimental Sunday parade at Warrington will take place on Sunday, October 4 and the borough council has made an order closing Church Street, between Manchester Road and Mersey Street between 9am and 1pm to allow the procession to take place. The service will be at Warrington Parish Church.
Bulb planting
MEMBERS of St Philip’s Church, Westbrook, Warrington are holding a bulb planting session in its new Rainbow Garden, as part of harvest celebrations on Sunday, October 4 at 10am.
Art exhibition
AN exhibition of paintings by members of a local art class will be staged at Grappenhall Independent Methodist Church Hall, Knutsford Road, on October 3 between 9am and 3pm. There will be works in watercolour, acrylics and pastels on show.
