Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 8, 10, 12 and 16. The jackpot prize went unclaimed and a £25 consolation prize was awarded to a member of the hospital staff.

Coffee morning
THE Green Tree Coffee Shop, in Orchard Street, Fearnhead, Warrington, is holding a coffee morning from 10am on September 25 to raise funds for Macmillan cancer support.

Academy Service
THE annual “Academy Service” at Cairo Street Unitarian Chapel, Warrington takes place this Sunday at 3pm, to commemorate the part played by the chapel in the development of Warrington Academy. The service will also mark the Unitarian influences on the writings of novelist Elizabeth Gaskell, who is buried in the graveyard at Brook Street Unitarian Chapel at Knutsford.

Back to church
A SPECIAL “Back to Church” service is being held at St Michael’s Church, Burtonwood, Warrington, on Sunday, September 27 as part of a nationwide initiative to invite people back who have not attended a church service for some time.

Litter pick
A LITTER pick is to take place at Glazebrook Village Green on Saturday, September 26, organised by Rixton with Glazebrook Parish Council. The event starts at 2pm.
