Mobile phone sales on the up

MOBILE phone sales are on the increase in Warrington – despite the recession.
A Warrington based mobile phone specialist says sales have increased by almost a third.
The company reports that sales to Warrington businesses are up by 30 per cent from this time last year and puts this down to businesses becoming more reliant on mobile technology and trying to get as much value from it as possible.
Improved communication with staff, clients and suppliers can result in increased productivity, streamlined working practices and reduced downtime.
A spokesman said: “The majority of our business customers cannot live without their employees having mobile phones even when times are tough.
“It would appear that businesses are spending less on incentives and clamping down on expenses claims, but continuing to strengthen their communications.
“Our customers are finding that mobile working can give employees more freedom, which can help to create new business opportunities irrespective of the size of the business
“Internet-enabled phones are most popular as they are an affordable way of keeping in touch with the office and helping to keep on top of emails without lugging around a heavy laptop.”
