RUNNERS from Warrington are being sought to join the NSPCC TeamGo for the Great North Run on Sunday September 20.
The children’s charity is calling for runners already with a place in the race, and new runners to contact them and start fundraising.
Anyone interested can call 020 7825 2621 for a free fundraising pack and exclusive running vest.
Runners for the NSPCC will gain access to its marquee at the end of the race, get cheering support along the route and refreshments.
Laura Hewitt, NSPCC national events fundraiser, said: “Many of our Great North Run runners support the charity year after year in the gruelling half marathon and run for a variety of reasons.
“We’ve already had a lot of interest from our supporters, but we would love to hear from anyone who would like to join us and support the NSPCC’s TeamGO.”
Money raised will go towards the NSPCC’s Child’s Voice Appeal, which aims to raise £50 million over three years to help ChildLine and the NSPCC Helpline.
