CONSERVATIVE leader David Cameron met local business people during a whistle stop visit to Warrington.
He joined up with Warrington North Prospective Conservative Parliamentary candidate Paul Campbell – a member of Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council – at a lunch and question and answer session at the new Encore Hotel in Birchwood Park.
Commenting on the hotel, Mr Cameron said: “It is an excellent venue for the people of Warrington and with its close proximity to the main motorway network and rail link it makes it the ideal location for the many businesses close by and throughout the North West.
“It is a credit to Warrington.”
Sitting Labour MP Helen Jones had a majority of 12,204 over the Conservatives at the last election in 2005.
