SWIMMING pools at Warrington’s Fordton Leisure Centre will re-open a day late after essential maintenance work has been completed.
The main pool and teaching pool closed on August 21 and were originally due to re-open on Friday August 28.
But because the works are taking slightly longer than at first anticipated, the two pools will now re-open to the public on Saturday August 29.
The work has involved the ventilation system.
During the closure, other services at the centre have operated as normal, although from August 17 the main reception area has been closed for refurbishment and a temporary reception area has been used.
