Benefits bus is back in town

WARRINGTON people are being invited to board a “benefits bus” to find out if they are entitled to claim benefits.
The bus is visiting the town and will be open from 10am to 3pm daily in the week commencing August 24.
It will be outside the market in the town centre on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and at Birchwood Shopping Mall on the Tuesday.
A council spokeswoman said: “Even if you have never been entitled to claim any benefits before, it may be worth finding out what you are entitled to – especially if your circumstances have changed recently or you are on a low income or out of work.
“Every year millions of pounds of benefit goes unclaimed across the UK and you could be entitled to some of it.”
On board the bus will be a team of experts to provide advice on the whole range of benefits including housing and council tax benefits, attendance allowance and tax credits.
No appointments are necessary.
