Vandals on the rampage

VANDALS went on the rampage in Warrington during the night – torching wheelie bins at three different locations.
Fire crews were called to Orford Park where hooligans had dragged wheelie bins to the children’s play area and set them alight.
Shortly afterwards they were called to land at the rear of St Andrew’s Primary School, Orford where more bins were alight.
Just after midnight, the alarm was raised at the Eric Moore Health Centre in Froghall Lane, Warrington where two commercial wheelie bins had been set on fire.
A Fire Service spokesman said: “There was no damage to any property other than the bins in each case, but these fires can be more serious if they spread to buildings and, of course, the consequences can be serious if another fire breaks out somewhere while we are dealing with them.”
Police are investigating.
