Free barbecue – and music

0

A FREE barbecue, with music provided by young musicians from the area, is to be held at Newchurch Parish Hall, Culcheth near Warrington this Saturday, August 15.
The event is being organised by Local Churches Together, a group of 10 churches from Culcheth, Glazebury, Croft, Hollins Green and Winwick.
Starting at 12 noon, the event continues until 2pm.
There will be no charge for either the food or the music, but a small donation will be requested.
The barbecue and the concert will be held outdoors unless the weather is unsuitable, in which case the music will move into the parish hall and food can be taken inside.
Earlier in the morning there will also be a litter pick and volunteers are invited to meet under the Culcheth millennium clock at 10am.
Both the litter pick and the barbecue/concert are part of the Churches Together strategy of connecting with the local community.
Further details can be obtained from the chairman of Local Churches Together, Delia Caswell, on 01942-671938 or the secretary, David Ogilvy, on 01925-762138.
