Wolves fans snap up Wembley tickets

THOUSANDS of jubilant Warrington Wolves fans

descended on the Halliwell Jones Stadium today to snap up their Wembley

tickets, with queues forming from 5am!!
By mid morning some popular tickets had already sold out, although club officials were hoping for a further supply later today.
Picture show Paul Arnison, AKA “Geordie” (centre) with friends clutching their Wembley tickets. Geordie, well known in rugby circles as “Warrington’s drummer,” may have to leave his drum at home, although he is currently attempting to get Wembley officials to have a change of heart.
Also pictured (right) is young fan Thomas Gibbons, aged 14, proudly clutching his tickets – he wasn’t even born the last time Warrington got to Wembley in 1990 when they lost out to Wigan.
He will be joining many of the fans taking advantage of the “Wire Flyer,” a special train which has been laid on by the club, taking supporters directly to Wembley from Bank Quay Station for the final on Saturday, August 29, when Warrington will take on Huddersfield Giants.

  1. I’ve noticed quite a lot of negative feedback from fans regarding obtaining their tickets.

All I can say is I started to queue, was given some helpful information from a steward who re-directed me to cash sales and then simply bought my tickets and booked my train travel.

Arrived at 10.35pm and left at 11.15 after taking photos and chatting to fans in a nice relaxed atmosphere.

  2. i’m confused about the season ticket holders only priority. i managed to get tickets through seetickets.com without being asked if i am a season ticket holder…?

  3. no queueing for me – paid cash at the turnstyle. Tickets have been and are still available via rfl website and seeticket (club website link) so i don’t see a problem about getting to see the lads at wembley. Unless the m6 has some road works!!!!
