Biker hurt in three-vehicle crash

POLICE are seeking witnesses after a three-vehicle pile up at Warrington which left a 43-year-old motor cyclist serious injured in hospital.
The crash was in Burtonwood Road shortly after 6.30pm last night (Thursday).
It happened between the junctions with the M62 and Kingswood Road and started with a collision between the motor cycle and a silver Peugeot which were both travelling in the direction of Warrington.
The impact forced the motor cyclist into the path of a Renault travelling in the opposite direction.
Police say the motor cyclist suffered serious leg and pelvic injuries and is in Warrington Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The driver of the Renault, a 45-year-old United States’ citizen, suffered a suspected broken leg and other injuries and a woman passenger in the car escaped unhurt.
The driver of the Peugeot was unhurt and is assisting police with their enquiries.
