A TEENAGER has been arrested at Warrington on suspicion of drugs offences.
The 15-year-old was arrested when drug squad officers swooped on a house at Lymm.
The teenager, who was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply, helped police with their enquiries throughout the day. He was later bailed pending further forensic enquiries.
Items – including an amount of suspected Class B drugs – were seized from the property along with a quantity of cash and weapons including knives.
Five police officers and one Police Community Support Officer were involved in the arrest. It is part of ongoing efforts by Warrington South Neighbourhood Policing Unit to tackle the issue of drugs in the local community.
PC Richard Hughes said: “It is one of a number of warrants that have been executed in the area over the past few months. We hope that the actions of local officers show that we are committed to tackling the issue of drugs in the local community.
“We will not tolerate this sort of behaviour and we hope that it serves as a warning to others that we will not hesitate to take positive action when necessary.
“We want to reassure the local community that we are doing everything we can to tackle the issue of drugs and we would, once again, urge anyone with any information to get in touch.
“Residents can rest assured that we will continue to work closely with the community to gather, and act upon, any further intelligence in relation to drugs.”
Anyone with any information about drug related crime is urged to call Cheshire Police on 0845 458 0000. Information can also be passed anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.

  1. But why the hell do they release these druggie pigs back into society? He should be locked up in a secure unit until his trial and if found guilty be sent down for 10 years minimum.

This country has lost its way when it comes to dealing with criminals….
