A MAJOR fire has broken out at a house at Stockton Heath, Warrington.
Police have sealed off a stretch of the A56 Grappenhall Road while firefighters tackle the blaze.
A Fire Service spokesman said the blaze involved the roof space of two semi-detached houses, both of which are believed to be empty.
Four fire engines and a hydraulic platform are involved in the operation.
Queues of traffic have built up over a wide area.
No-one is reported hurt.
Cause of the outbreak is not yet known.
