Television burst into flames

THE living room of a house at Warrington was devastated by fire after the television set burst into flames.
Fire crews were called to a semi-detached house in Massey Avenue, off Winwick Road, Dallam.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze with a hosereel and later cleared smoke from the premises using a venilation unit.
Smoke detectors were fitted in the house and did activate.
A representative of Golden Gates Housing later assisted the occupier to make the property secure.
No-one was hurt.
