Celebrating 150 years of Big Ben

PUPILS from Warrington schools took part in a competition to design a Christmas card to mark the 150th anniversary of national landmark Big Ben.
Entries were submitted to Warrington North MP Helen Jones and she passed on the best to the parliamentary authorities.
Local winners were presented with certificates signed by the keeper of the famous clock and limited edition anniversary badges by the MP.
They were: Overall winner Danielle Collier (year seven), Birchwood High; category three winner (years seven to nine) Emily Shortall, Birchwood High; category two winner (years three to six), Laura Holcroft, Twiss Green Primary; category one winner (year two) Maya Bradley, Newchurch Primary.
