School's new timber trail

A NEW low level timber trail has been installed in the grounds of St Wilfrid’s Primary School, Grappenhall – mainly funded by a £10,000 national lottery grant.
In total, the “Developing Spaces for Happy Faces” project has cost the Friends of St Wilfrid’s £26,000, with additional support coming from the Rotary Club of Warrington, Stockton Heath Lions, West Lancashire Freemasons, the Britannia Building Society, Yorkshire Building Society and local businesses and individuals, including children.
The timber trail provides an imaginative, safe play facility in the school grounds.
Joanne Davies, chairman of the Friends of St Wilfrid’s said: “Within the area, the lack of apparatus has been problematic for a prolonged period, and these installations assist in solving a localised issue as well as helping the children’s experience within the community.
“It is such a huge success and we are very grateful for the grants that we’ve received to help ensure this project went ahead.”
