Council's gift to care home

THREE new garden benches have been presented to Sankey Manor care home in Vine Crescent, Great Sankey, Warrington.
The benches have been given to the home by Great Sankey – and the presentations was made by Coun Jim Regan, a member of both the parish council and Warrington Borough Council and the town’s “Older People’s Champion.”
Sankey Manor consists of 52 flats and bungalows set in their own gardens.
It was built in 1970 but underwent a major renovation last year.
Our picture shows Coun Regan testing one of the benches – and enjoying a cup of tea – with staff and residents.
