Landlord goes carbon neutral

SOCIAL landlord Golden Gates Housing has pledged to plant 12 trees – to offset the CO2 emissions produced by a tenants conference it held.
The conference was at Warrington’s Halliwell Jones Stadium and was to discuss proposals for future refurbishment of homes.
Afterwards, after receiving advice from the Energy Saving Trust, GGH announced it would plant the trees.
Each tree will counteract one tonne of carbon over its lifetime. The trees will be planted in managed woodlands.
Cost of the initiative will be met by TN Robinson, a supplier of electrical installation products.
