Dance students' curtain call

A-LEVEL dance students brought the curtain down on the academic year with a spectacular production showcasing their work.
The students from Warrington’s Priestley College – who also perform in the college’s Oxygen Dance Company – produced and choreographed the majority of their own work and used the performance for their practical examination.
The showcase was a fine example of the creative nature of the group who revelled in the opportunity to show their abilities in front of a paying audience.
Dance styles on display included jazz, lyrical jazz, contemporary, contact duets, street and postmodern.
Tutor Lucinda Doyle said: “Our students have produced some great pieces this year and this was their opportunity to show off all their hard work.
“The chance to perform in front of a live audience proved invaluable and gives us a foundation on which to produce more of these showcases next year.”
