Men threatened to harm themselves

POLICE at Warrington were called out twice in the early hours of the morning to deal with men threatening to harm themselves.
A man in Crosfield Street was threatening to set fire to himself and another, in Kingsway, was threatening to to throw himself into the Mersey from Kingsway Bridge. In both cases, officers managed to persuade the men to calm down.
Alcohol is believed to played a part in both cases.
Fire crews were alerted to both incidents but were not required to take any action.
