School kitchens win food award

0

ALL 72 primary school kitchens in the borough have now achieved the Warrington Food Award – which means that the dozens of kitchens across the town are operating at a four or five star standard!
The Award is given to catering premises in the borough by the food safety team.
All recipients must show they are capable of achieving and maintaining a high standard of food hygiene and have systems for monitoring the safe production and storage of food.
In recognition of this brilliant achievement, catering assistants from across the town were invited to a celebration event at the Town Hall.
The event was attended by the Mayor and Mayoress, Coun and Mrs Brian Axcell, Coun Sheila Woodyatt, executive member for the council’s childrens service, officers from the children’s services team and representatives from all primary and secondary schools.
