Classic cars on show

SHOPPERS were treated to wide-ranging display of classic cars of all descriptions in Warrington town centre.
It was the second show of its kind at the market and had people flocking to see the vehicles on show.
Customers were delighted to meet Del Boy Trotter with his three-wheeled car from the hit television series “Only fools and horses”.
Del Boy was played by Britain’s number one look-alike Maurice Canham and the Trotter van was the actual one used in the television series.
More than 80 vehicles were displayed in the market and throughout the town centre streets, Golden Square and Cockhedge Shopping Park.
Market manager Stephen Pickering said: “This was a fantastic experience for young and old. The double decker bus caused a stir, bringing back memories for some and proved popular with young children who had never been on board an old fashioned bus before.”
The exhibits included all forms of classic transport including donkeys, push bikes, vintage motorbikes, cars and buses. Organisers are convinced that this is now a major event in the town centre’s annual promotional calendar, and are looking forward to next year’s show which will be even bigger!
