THE Fresh Approach restaurant at Bent’s Garden and Home, Glazebury has been presented with the Warrington Food Award – with Distinction status.
Managing director Matthew Bent said: “It is a fantastic acknowledgement of our commitment to food standards and also to the team in the Fresh Approach who prepare the menus on a daily basis. 
“They work hard to ensure we provide healthy, nutritious and freshly prepared food each and every day and their enthusiasm has been recognized with this award”.
The Food Award is presented by Warrington Borough Council and recognises establishments that consistently achieve and maintain high standards in hygiene and nutrition by offering healthy choices, high levels of training and safe production and storage of food.
Only establishments with a four or five star status in the national “Scores on the Doors” scheme can apply for the award.
Scores on the Doors publishes official local authority ratings of more than 50,000 restaurants, bars, pubs and cafes throughout the UK.
Simone Norris, of Warrington Borough Council, said: “The star rating is a quick and easy way for the public to recognize food hygiene standards and enable them to make informed decisions about where they eat and buy their food.
“The Warrington Food Award is an additional recognition for those establishments who are as equally committed to the nutritional values of the food they serve. The Fresh Approach Restaurant consistently provides superior quality and is a worthy winner of the award.”
