FOOD traders will set up stall in a village centre tonight (Thursday) to kick-start a 10-day festival celebrating music, the arts, culture, sport and heritage.
The 10th annual Lymm Festival will start with the “Food Fest” – when the village centre is sealed off to traffic and the local cafes, restaurants and food shops turn street traders to offer a wide range of hot and cold food and drink.
Thousands of people are expected to turn up to sample the delicacies on offer.
There will also be street entertainment for young and old.
Highlights of the festival will include “Festival Special” – a specially commissioned piece of music to be premiered at Lymm High School on July 2, Handel;s Messiah, performed by the Ly mm Festival Orchestra and Choir at St Peter’s Church, Oughtrington, on June 28 and the Festival Picnic in the grounds of Cotebrook House on July 4.
