Councillors fight homes plan

0

THREE councillors are opposing plans for two three-bedroomed houses within the Chapelford Urban Village development at Great Sankey, near Warrington.
Coun Judith Wheeler, Coun Keith Gleave and Coun Kevin Reynolds are all concerned about the proposals at the junction of Burtonwood Road and Boston Boulevard.
They are concerned about the adequacy of parking and turning space, highway safety, landscaping and loss of trees and open space.
A nearby resident is also opposing the plan on the grounds the development would be out of character with the area, creating an “industrial look.”
Planning officers are recommending the plan be approved as the site is not designated as open space or for landscaping.
