Facelift for changing rooms

0

THE changing rooms at Culcheth’s Shaw Street playing fields are undergoing a facelift.
New electrics and plumbing have been installed and water proofing work has been carried out.
Coun Keith Bland told Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council the building was in quite good structural condition but still required repainting and new floor covering.
The Probation Service had been contacted with a view to having the building painted by offenders doing community service work.
When all the work had been completed, Shaw Street would have a serviceable changing facility without the need for a costly new building.
However, drainage work needed to bring the football pitch up to scratch would cost in the region of £160,000.
