A NEW website offering support to deaf people has been launched in Warrington. The Deafness Support Network, in Wilson Patten Street, provides information, advice and a chat facility on www.dnsonline.co.uk

Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 3, 6, 8 and 9. There were no winners and the jackpot prize will be “rolled over” to next week. A £25 consolation prize was won by a member of the hospital staff.

Civic Service
THE Mayor and Mayoress of Warrington, Coun Brian Axcell and his wife, Irina, will attend a Civic Sunday service at 11am tomorrow (Sunday) at St Elphin’s Parish Church, Warrington.

Home extension
PLANNING chiefs have approved a single storey rear extension and detached garage at a house in Dam Lane, Rixton, Warrington despite objections from Rixton-with-Glazebrook Parish Council.

Phone mast
CONTROVERSIAL proposals by Telefonica O2 for a 15m telecommunication mast and equipment cabinets in Longwood Road, Appleton, Warrington, will be considered by the parish council’s planning sub-committee at their meeting on Tuesday, June 16.

Road closure
KNUTSFORD Road, Warrington, will be closed from its junction with Kingsway South and Station Road from 11.30pm tonight (Saturday) until 5.30am tomorrow while a structural survey is carried out on the disused railway bridge over the road.
