SIX local schools took part in the first ever Warrington Schools Sports Partnership tennis tournament.
The half-day event was held at Birchwood Leisure and Tennis Complex.
Taking part were Gorse Covert, Alderman Bolton, St Philips, St Josephs, Cinnamon Brow and Culcheth primary schools.
Teams from St Philips, Cinnamon Brow and St Josephs played well and are through to the Warrington finals which will be held on Wednesday June 17 at the same venue.
Organisers say there was a positive reaction from all schools taking part and it is hoped it will become an annual event.
