LYMM artist Graham Edgar has put together an exhibition of paintings which show the village in an unusual light as his contribution to the Lymm Festival.
“Lymm Grey” is an exhibition of some 25 “moody” pictures, mainly in oils but also including a few watercolours’ inspired by regular early morning and evening walks Graham takes with his dog, Geoff.
It features paintings such as Grantham’s Bridge in Oughtrington, the old stone gate in Crouchley Lane and other recognisable but rarely painted Lymm landmarks.
Even The Cross has a different “look” – with no other buildings featured.
Graham said: “I have tried to capture the dramatic look the Lymm skyline can have early in the morning or of an evening.”
The exhibition is free and is on from June 30 to July 3, 10am-5pm at Edgar Art and Framing, The Cross Courtyard.
