Revamped youth centre to go on show

A NEWLY refurbished youth centre is set to be officially launched at Warrington, offering a wide range of activities for young people.
The revamped and improved Orford Youth Base will be launched with an open day for local residents and partner agencies next Thursday, June 11.
From 4pm onwards the centre will be open for tours of the building and a brief presentation and at 5pm the doors will open for young people.
Special activities on the day will include a mobile climbing wall and a motor cycle workshop.
A drama workshop will be held to promote National Tackling Drugs week (June 8-12) and there will also be MC-ing and DJ-ing workshops, smoothie making and much more.
The base is currently open five nights a week and hosts four youth clubs, Duke of Edinburgh Award groups as well as a satellite youth advice shop.
