How to get a bit greener

0

ANYONE wishing to become a little more “green” can get advice at an eco hut in Warrington Market.
The town’s celebrations of World Environment Day tomorrow (Friday) will focus on promoting the hut and the advice it gives on environmental issues.
Warrington Borough Council is aiming to increase awareness of environmental issues and to encourage positive action to safeguard the future of the planet.
Officers say people can help reduce their impact on the environment by actions such as using blue recycling bins.
Taking the bus or train to work, or youngsters walking to school can help reduce air pollution.
Staff at the eco hut can also recommend changes in the home which reduce energy consumption and the cost of bills.
“Green” advice is available from the hut or by visiting www.warrington.gov.uk
