Good hair day for students

0

ABOUT 30 students from Warrington had a “good hair day” when they visited an academy in London for a session of colouring, crimping and cutting.
They were taking part in a Learner Initiative for Employability (LIFE) II Hair and Beauty programme and visited the Schwarzkopf/Clynol academy.
The LIFE II programmes are aimed at learners in years eight and nine who are interested in working in a specific industry such as hospitality, engineering and media.
Travelling to London were youngsters from Warrington Collegiate, Woolston, Birchwood, Penketh, Great Sankey, Culcheth and Sir Thomas Boteler high schools.
During the day they were given an insight into skills needed for the industry, and advice and guidance to help them make informed choices.
They attended two hairdressing demonstrations and were given the opportunity to sample the hundreds of styling products offered by the company.
Members of the group were able to ask professionals for advice and get tips for their own hair.
