Students' eye-catching display

AN exhibition of eye-catching work produced by university students has gone on show at Warrington’s Golden Square Shopping Centre.
The display will remain on show until the end of June and is the work of first, second and third year advertising students at Chester University.
From June 11, the exhibition will begin to showcase the results of students’ work on seven ‘live’ briefs provided by local business and organisations.
The work on display includes large scale prints, videos, brochures, posters and artefacts, as well as materials produced for charity group Helen Marie Friends.
Advertising programme leader David Rutherford said: “Consistent with the advertising programme’s commitment to working with ‘live’ briefs from within the local community, in the past year, students on all three levels have been involved with several successful projects within the Warrington business community, and we are now looking for local organisations interested in working with us next year.
“If your organisation would be interested in working with the staff and students on an advertising or corporate communications project, please contact me at [email protected].”
The exhibition has been designed, organised and managed by the students themselves to develop their experience and skills in planning, publicity, presentation, budget management, and logistics.
Members of the public who would like to learn more about the students’ work are invited to the official opening of the second part of the exhibition on Thursday, June 11, at 2pm, and again on Saturday, June 13, from 1pm.
