WELL known local councillor Sue Bland has been elected Chairman of Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council.
Retiring Chairman Ileyne Huthinson handed over the Chairman’s chain of office to Sue Bland at the last Parish Council meeting, when Helena Campbell was voted in as the new Vice-Chairman.
Meanwhile Ileyne told fellow councillors and members of the public how much she had enjoyed her year of office, and said she had succeeded in her aim to raise the profile of the Parish Council. It was with a certain amount of sadness that she handed over the chain, but she wished Sue Bland all the best, in the knowledge Sue would make an excellent Chairman for 2009 – 2010.
She was then presented with a silver medallion and a bouquet of flowers.
