A 16-year-old boy suffered a broken arm and other injuries when he was attacked by an older man at Warrington.
The attack took place in the early hours of the morning in Melrose Avenue, Birchwood.
The boy was walking along the road with two friends when a white Fiesta van pulled up and the driver got out.
He began to attack the boy, punching and kicking him and leaving him with a broken arm.
The youngster was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police said the offender was about 6ft 1 inch tall, of heavy build and aged between his late 20s and late 30s.
He had dark, shaven hair and was wearing a dark hooded top and dark trousers.
The attack took place at about 1.30am on Sunday, May 17.

Would appear to have been an unprovoked attack as the police do not give any reasons
