Premiere for student film

A STUDENT film maker is to premiere a murder mystery more than two years in the making at Warrington today (Saturday).
“Templeton” has been produced and directed by Davud Twyman, a student at the Warrington Campus of Chester University.
It is being screened at the Lance Dobson Hall, at the Fearnhead Lane campus at 2pm – and admission is free.
The plot is intriguing.
In the smoggy streets of Victorian England a masked murderer preys on an unsuspecting academic elite. More than 100 years later this killer has apparently returned, throwing the police into chaos as they chase a suspect convicted and executed a century ago.
Enter Alexander Templeton, a researcher on the original murders who has forgotten his past and DI Lucie Liddel, an unscrupulous investigator with ulterior motives.
The evidence is kept in a museum, the DNA is 100 years old – and people are dying.
“Templeton” was funded by the Warrington Bourough Council and Mediabox supported by internet television channel The Big Idea and the university. The project took nine days to shoot in early 2008.
David Twyman is now finishing a three year television production course and is currently on a BBC Mentorship in Manchester.
The project was filmed on location in Warrington and Chester and features actors from the North West including Michael Gallivan as Alexander Templeton, Phil Novak as Marcus Brachanfield, Amy Edwards as Lucie Liddel, John Newall as Roy Hudders, Helen Fullerton as Gabrielle Hennly, Peter Rawlinson as DI Denison, Gill Barge as Harriet Buckby and Shantelle Gaston-Hird as Victoria Stummel.
The crew consisted of David, with cinematographer Lewis Brennan, assistant cinematographer Bwalya Mutale and sound technician Pete Bailey.
