SUSAN Hands, of Appleton, has qualified as a tutor for the Swimming Teachers’ Association after completing an exhaustive four day training course.
She now becomes one of a handful of STA tutors based in the North West who can train others to gain a nationally recognised teaching qualification.
She said: “The course was very intense, but well worth it and I can’t wait to get started now on teaching.
“I’ve always been a keen sportswoman starting young with my 25m swimming badge at the age of four and have since picked up certificates in gymnastics, canoeing, yachting and lifesaving.”
