THE first ever Warrington Rhythm & Blues Festival is set to take place at Warrington’s Pyramid Parr Hall on Saturday, May 23 in association with Dawsons Music.
With two stages, two bars serving real ales and a stunning line-up, true R & B fans simply will not want to miss out on this fantastic event which is helping raise funds for the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace.
Headliners on the Main Stage are The Stumble, a rapturous, Chicago-style rhythm & blues outfit, which has built a huge following and enviable reputation as one of the finest British blues bands on the circuit.
“With all due respect to other worthy contenders, there is now no better blues band in the UK.” – Blues in Britain
Also taking to the main stage are The Cadillac Kings, firm favourites on the blues and jump-jive scenes, featuring some of the UK’s top blues and roots musicians.
Inspired by the sounds and styles of the 40s & 50s, this group of phenomenal musicians has a reputation for wowing live audiences.
The band has earned accolades and fans alike throughout the UK & Europe over the past few years and we are delighted to welcome them to Warrington.
Others taking to the main stage are Soul Provider founded by the Cinnamon Club’s very own Neil Hughes. This high energy, Commitments style soul band is the most recent addition to our already amazing line-up, The Escape Committee a four piece blues-rock band, established as an integral part of the local music scene.
and finally the Smokehouse Blues Band 3pm, a Runcorn-based band who deliver an explosive mix of West Coast and Chicago blues led by the dynamite harmonica and vocals of Johnny Hewitt.
Meanwhile a second stage will feature an Acoustic Stage Line Up featuring Peter Price, Warrington’s best known acoustic blues man.
