them.
Moneymadeclear is a partnership venture from the Financial Services Authority and the Government.
The service is available at www.moneymadeclear.fsa.gov.uk where people can find step-by-step guides, interactive tools and completely impartial comparison tables.
Trained ‘money guides’ are available on 0300 500 5000 to help people work out what’s right for them, based on their needs and circumstances. In addition, face to face money guide sessions can be arranged by calling that number.
Ms Jones said: ” At a time when people are anxious about managing their money and making ends meet this service can help people in so many ways. It has been designed to be easy to use, easy to understand and free of jargon. Crucially, it is also impartial and does not sell or recommend products.
“I am pleased that the scheme is being piloted here in the North West. I am sure it will prove very useful to many people, not least by helping them make better-informed financial decisions.”
Moneymadeclear can help people to budget their weekly or monthly spending, start saving, protect their family and livelihood, understand tax and welfare benefits better and plan for their retirement.
