His show, The Cinder Path, consists a collection of lyrics, love poems and elegies.
Motion retired as Poet Laureate last month. The Cinder Path is his latest book of poems and his last as Poet Laureate.
He will also introduce a new collection of essays: “Ways of life: On Places, Painter and Poets” and talk about his acclaimed autobiography “In The Blood – A Memoir of My Childhood”.
He will also answer questions about his writing and his role as Laureate.
Andrew Motion was appointed Poet Laureate in 1999 saying: “I see myself as town crier, can-opener and flag-waver for poetry.”
In the past, Laureates were appointed for life, but he stipulated he would hold the post for only 10 years.
His poetry has received the Arvon/Observer Prize, the John Llewelyn Rhys Prize and the Dylan Thomas Prize.
He is professor of creative writing at Royal Holloway and recently co-founded The Poetry Archive.
