Five will strive in triathlon

FIVE women will be carrying Lymm’s name in the sixth annual Deva Divas women’s triathlon at Chester on Sunday July 12 – to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
They all have links with The Terrace café brasserie – owner Joanne Hopkinson, staff member Sam McCawley and customers Claire Fairhurst, Julie Evans and Melanie Guest.
All are currently in training either in the gym or on local roads – and when the weather permits Joanne is cycling to work.
The triathlon involves a 750m swim at Manley Mere, a 16km cycle ride and a 5k run.
Joanne and Julie have previously taken part in the London Moonwalk – also in aid of breast cancer research – but apart from that have not taken part in any other feats of endurance.
Joanne said: “We are just normal, unfit people.”
Anyone who wants to sponsor the fivesome can do so by signing a form at The Terrace, or directly with one of the five.
